Primary care in the US runs through family doctors and internists who coordinate referrals; urgent care centers handle minor injuries and illnesses without an appointment for far less than an emergency room; hospitals with emergency departments are the place for severe facial trauma or a dental infection that spreads. Another serious issue. Urgent care. I'm in between primary doctors. Went for needed tests. Promised to call me next day with results. No call! I called 3 times and sent to urgent care VM and left 3. Zero reply. I went it to get results 7 days later. The front desk said they don't have a phone, even though she eas wearing a headset. Foundnout they mailed the results. I asked for their copy...find out they did not test for what I asked for.

This new facility is awesome. Clean, streamlined and easy to navigate around. You won't go wrong, if your a veteran, to get signed into this VA system and trust that you'll get the best care out there.

Itβs a shame for the good people here. The wait times are hit and miss, just like anywhere else. Most of the care is sufficient. However, if you are in need of anything regarding mental health, please know that you will suffer further from trying to navigate this mess. Original inquiry in March, now middle of July and still not seen. I had to seek outside care.

So I have been with VA medical for many years and to be honest I have dealt with many and I have had 2 bad experiences. One 2as at an outpatient clinic in California with a Lab Tech she was very aggressive and rough when taking care of us Vets...she lost her position due to her actions. My 2nd bad experience was at the VA Clinic back in 2017 with a PCP Doc...but I went to the Patient Advocate and not even 30 minutes after I left her office I was called to be informed I had a New PCP and that I needed to call to make an Appt with her....so all in all I honestly can not say anything negative about the care I have received....thank you to all that works at a VA facility.

I have had great experiences with this va clinic. From dental, hearing, and primary they have done a great job. It can be hard to get a hold of someone on the phone which is the only reason I took a start away, every thing else has been great.
